noun: avoidance of the depletion of natural resources in order to maintain an ecological balance.
Pfane is working with local governments and environmental lobbiests to help ban the toxic practice of incinerating e-waste,
Pfanes ongoing pursuit to develop better, safer and more CO2 responsible methods of recycling e-waste.
Pfanes research and developments are made possible by donations and support from Google, IBM, Lennovo and TechSoup. These companies have proven they care about how electronic waste affects our environment.
“I declare this world is so beautiful that I can hardly believe it exists.” The beauty of nature can have a profound effect upon our senses and we believe it's something we should strive to preserve in every manner possible.
Pfane Environmental Association focuses it's efforts on the study of e-waste, it's components, it's toxicity. How e-waste disposal affects ecosystems, how it's recycling affects ecosystems and how we can tackle the epidemic that has been ongoing for more than 50 years.
We have made significant progress in our developments toward balanced and circular solutions that are sustainable and support the current recycling efforts of ewaste.
The unfortunate truth about ewaste is that it is difficult to recycle. With current mechanical methods walking the wire between dangerous and tollerable
Research is only useful when it is used to innitiate change or help guide innovation.
Pfane's core competency has been the development and engineering of methods, machines, processes, solutions and software That directly solve key issues hindering the furtherment of the e-waste industry
Pfane has been involved in developing and testing methods and systems for numerous metal extraction technologies, logistics systems, mechanical improvements and much more.
We quantify all of our results first in house and when required with independant laboritories who support our work.
The result of over 5 years of research and development has been a turn key system we beleive can be implimented world wide.
A system with the ability to neutralize the e-waste epidemic inside 50 years time
Ongoing research and development projects in the field of electronic waste handelling and control.
billion tons of CO2 can be saved per year
resources could stop mining completely
square kilometers of land would be cleaned
completely circular markets could be created
The work Pfane Environmental Association is doing is slowly making a difference in the wasy e-waste is recycled, world wide.
Pfane Environmental Association holds strict standards for the use of it's name and standards certification. Any ewaste facility registered as R4 certified can be assured that minimum required standards set by government and ISO are far surpassed. R4 circular certification requires complete transparency from the owners and operators as well as monthly verification and yearly retesting.
